Dr. Jacquelyn McMillian-Bohler

Dr. McMillian-Bohler is the Director for Educational Excellence at Duke University School of Nursing. She joined the School of Nursing Faculty in 2017, and currently teaches Health Promotion and Perinatal Nursing in the pre-professional and master’s degree programs.  

Dr. McMillian-Bohler is passionate about teaching and helping others achieve a master teacher practice. Her scholarship stems from her master teacher model and includes topics related to faculty development, teaching & learning strategies, and supporting an inclusive learning environment.  

Jacqui received a BSN from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, an MSN in Nurse-Midwifery from Vanderbilt University, and a PhD in Nursing Education from Villanova University. She has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching, most recently the 2021 Duke University Outstanding Teaching Faculty at the School of Nursing.
