Novice Nurse Educator Faculty Development Program

Step into your educator role with greater confidence, practical tools, and ongoing mentoring.

This program supports nurses with less than 3-years of teaching experience in preparing to teach in healthcare or university settings. You will strengthen your approach to instruction, planning, facilitation, and professional growth.

Learning Outcomes:

• Develop and deliver effective lectures and presentations using active learning strategies.

• Facilitate group discussions and activities that stimulate adult learners.

• Assess student learning and provide feedback using evidence-based practices.

• Manage a classroom environment using inclusive strategies.

• Integrate behaviors described in NLN Nurse Educator competencies. 

Program Highlights:

• Six months of synchronous, guided faculty development

• Live monthly sessions (3rd Thursday) from 2:00–4:00 PM

• Recordings available when you cannot attend live

• A supportive structure for building competence and confidence
