Maximizing Impact: The Essential Role of Evidence-Based Practices in Nursing Education
Objectives:
1. The learner will develop an understanding of what evidence-based practices entail within the context of nursing education.
2. The learner will outline practical strategies for incorporating evidence-based practices into nursing education curricula.
3. The learner will verbalize how to evaluate the effectiveness of evidence-based practices in nursing education

Learner will verbalize understanding of the principles of item writing for pre-licensure nursing examinations
Learner will demonstrate application of Bloom’s Taxonomy when developing test items
Learner will evaluate and revise test items using evidenced based item development principles.

1. Learner will verbalize understanding of the basic concepts of simulation in nursing education.
2. Learner will apply the clinical judgment model to simulation practices.
3. Learner will be able to describe practical strategies for the implementation of the clinical judgment model to experiential learning during simulation.

Learners will be able to identify at least three key principles of humanism and explain how they apply to nursing education.
Learner will demonstrate the ability to design a learner-centered educational activity for nursing students.
Learner will identify at least two evidence-based teaching strategies to integrate into their learning experiences.
