CNE/CNEcl Snapshot: Bloom's Taxonomy

This snapshot focuses on 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗺'𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝘅𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 cognitive domain of analyzing that separates concepts into parts so that its organizational structure for better comprehension by the learner. 

𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗺'𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝘅𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 describes understanding as the comprehension of translation and interpretation of instructions and problems.  It is the ability to state a problem in your own works, such as rewriting principles or concepts that can be explained by the learner.  

Examples may include recognizing local sequence of clinical practice standards, and clinical judgment.  Learners may gather information from a department when analyzing a situation, or a case scenario, and organize the steps in the process to ensure quality delivery of nursing care.  

Keywords may include compare, contrast, identify, and outlines.  Analyzing activities may include debating, and questioning the clinical judgment decisions of a clinical scenario.
